Halton Hospital asbestoc control

Halton General Hospital

Client Requirements:

The client appointed us during refurbishment work of the building. Our project specification was to undertake two phases of asbestos remedial works within various departments of the hospital.

Phase one: The removal and disposal of mastic to duct work.

Phase two: Removal of Asbestos Insulation Board (AIB) behind radiators.

Process:

  1. Initial Consultation with client
  2. Site survey
  3. Plan of work and pre notifications (HSE)
  4. Execute work
  5. Project completion checks and handover

Our Solution:

Our asbestos removal works were an urgent request from the client due to refurbishment contractors being on site working towards a programme with specific timelines. ACT attended site the same day to assess the asbestos insulation board and notified the works to the HSE on the same day to ensure refurbishment works could continue after the notification period, with the least possible delay.

Testimonial

ACT have been a pleasure to work with from start to finish. From working with the Contractor Manager at preconstruction to the Site Supervisor and his colleagues on site, everyone has been nothing but professional and helpful with providing advice and solutions to carry out the work efficiently while maintaining safety standards.

ACT have been extremely flexible to fit around site changes and programme delays, proactively communicating and nothing was never too much trouble both on and off site.
