Churches and historic buildings

Value: £200,000

Project: Removal of pipe insulation next to a priceless organ within a Cathedral , Grade I listed building.

Solution: Licensed scaffolding was required to build the large tower that would form the enclosure. The priceless stone work, choir stands and wooden wall carvings all had to be carefully covered and protected prior to any removal works. ACT had to work with the Cathedral organ team to carefully remove thousands of pipes locating the asbestos pipes that required removal.
All works were planned over several months and the programme was carried out exactly to schedule and within budget.
