Asbestos Removal

Where the removal of an Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) is deemed necessary ACT will prepare a project plan that will detail all of works required along with the time schedules and method statement for the works to be carried out. This will include identification of  Health and Safety Risks and will include All necessary notifications to the HSE.

 

 

 

Asbestos Remedial Works

In line with any recommendations from your asbestos survey or management report, ACT are able to carry out remedial works to repair any disturbed ACM that may not necessarily need to be removed.

As an alternative solution to the removal of ACM’s there are occasions where it is possible for ACT to encapsulate the materials through employing special techniques.

 

 

 

 

Asbestos Surveying & Management

 

If you have had an asbestos survey this will clearly depict where and what type of asbestos is present in the building. It should provide a guide as to the state of the asbestos and if removal is necessary.  If you haven’t had a survey we would recommend you do and we could arrange this for you. From the survey report you can decide with our expert advice and guidance if the ACM’s require removal or could be encapsulated. Where asbestos is not damaged or likely to be so, then it doesn’t have to be removed it can be made safe or encapsulated.

 

ACT will provide a project plan for you detailing time schedules, method statements and all identified Health & Safety risks. What work is to be carried out and when.  This would include all notifications to the Health and Safety Executive if the asbestos found by the survey is of a notifiable material type.

Contaminated Land Clearance

Whilst ACM’s in buildings are the major source of asbestos problems in the UK, there are many instances of land becoming contaminated by asbestos as a result of fly tipping or previous demoltion works.
