Asbestos Surveying & Management

As recognised consultants, ACT can offer advice and guidance on the management of asbestos containing materials within buildings.

Prior to preparing and asbestos management plan it is necessary to have a survey undertaken, through working with our pre qualified UKAS accredited partners ACT are able to offer the following services:

• Type 1 Survey – Location and assessment survey
• Type 2 Survey – Sampling, identification and assessment survey
• Type 3 Survey – Full access / intrusive sampling and identification survey
• Asbestos Management Plan
• Online asbestos management systems

Asbestos Removal

Where the removal of an ACM is deemed necessary ACT will prepare a project plan that will detail all of works required along with the time schedules and method statement for the works to be carried out.

Asbestos Remedial Works

In line with any recommendations from your asbestos survey or management report, ACT are able to carry out remedial works to repair any disturbed ACM that may not necessarily need to be removed.

As an alternative solution to the removal of ACM’s there are occasions where it it possible for ACT to encapsulate the materials through employing special techniques.

Contaminated Land Clearance

Whilst ACM’s in buildings are the major source of asbestos problems in the UK, there are many instances of land becoming contaminated by asbestos as a result of fly tipping or previous demoltion works.
